LGBT+ Awareness – Short course (3 hrs)

With a particular focus on issues impacting on older and old LGBT+ people

SAND offers Training to Health & Social Care providers; voluntary sector organisations and other related providers in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin who have signed up to the EMBRACE Covenant.

Any Covenantee can commission us to come to your organisation and deliver a half day session at a cost of £280 + expenses.

If your organisation is not signed up to the Covenant, or you prefer to attend an existing course, then Joint Training commission us a couple of times a year. The next date is 18th September 2024.

Facilitator Training

A supported training programme where Facilitators work with SAND to be able to deliver LGBT+ Awareness Training with a particular focus on issues impacting on older and old LGBT+ people. The aim is to be able to facilitate conversations within their own organisations, and to others.

This course is open to staff and volunteers of organisations signed up to the Covenant, takes place over a 5 week period April – May 2024, with:

1 Zoom session – 25th April 10am – 11.30am

2 x full day Face-to-Face sessions in Shrewsbury – 9th & 23rd May 10am – 4pm

Participants must attend all 3 sessions.

Cost is £380 per person
