Module 06 Difficult Conversations

We divided the room into small groups and set the following discussion exercise: In your own workplace – How might you help your colleagues to:

• Feel more comfortable and confident about conversations
• Have ideas about appropriate useful questions
• Have increased understanding about the barriers that may face older and old LGBT+ people
• Be curious and creative about how they phrase the conversations to find out the information they need to know
• Know when and how to have the conversations that matter, at the right time
• Understand the ‘added layers’ for older and old LGBT+ people
