It is 28 degrees outside and we are grateful for a cool office, although the keyboard is burning with the amount of work being churned out by the SAND team!
June is busy busy – we have been commissioned by Wrekin Housing Group to deliver multiple LGBT+ Awareness Courses to their staff – they hope to get about 120 people through it by the end of the month (we have trained 43 so far!) This is part of the implementation of their action plan to EMBRACE A Culture of Inclusion. Each training session last for 2 and a half hours and they are all on TEAMS – we should certainly have it down to a fine art by the time we are finished.
We also have our own public training (Face to face – hurrah) later in the month and we are looking forward to seeing people in 3 dimensions and perhaps doing some different exercises to complement the learning experience. Talking of face-to-face training – we are delivering some for Joint Training once more and their first date (8 Sept) is selling fast, so we have just added a date in December too.
And – we have (hot off the press) literally just published our Year 3 evaluation report for the National Lottery Community Fund – read it here!
Meanwhile, our In the Cafe series continues with gatherings every month focused on a specific theme to do with ageing better and we are plotting a big event for October – watch this space.
We have just uploaded some great soundtracks from our Sandy Island Discs – click the link and then the names to hear local Radio presenter Paul Shuttleworth taking to guests and then scroll down to watch the Creative Conversations videos.
And there’s more ….
