This guidance is to help cisgender staff at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust support people who identify as transgendered who use our services. The guidance is in four sections:

4. Understanding transitioning: Not all trans people want to transition surgically but some do. This section explains the care pathway and includes information about particular issues for children and young people who may identify as trans
